2023 OUAFC PRIZEGIVING - SPIRIT OF OTAHUHU

Celebrating our people ! This year, 2 new trophies were donated by the West Whānau to do just that. The Spirit of Ōtāhuhu Award was created to celebrate and spotlight our people who demonstrate the values of our little club day in and day out. And doing so with pride. The winners are shining examples of why we continually do what we do.

All receipents of this award receive an extra bonus of getting their fees paid for the following season, too.

2023, its ingurial year , the Spirit of Otahuhu awards were presented to our 4th to 6th grade Mighty Minions player, Kōwhai, and the second trophy present to our Youth Player, McKenzie Dawson. Both players in their first year of football have demonstrated all of the values that these new trophies and Wests stand for - being the spirits of Ōtāhuhu United AFC. Congratulations to you both and we look forward to seeing you do the same next season.  We send a massive, heartfelt thank you to the Wests for setting this up and creating a legacy with Otahuhu United

"We donated these trophies to the club as we are passionate about the values the club holds. This is a reminder that you don't have to be the best football player to walk away with an award, but if you show the values of the club everytime you represent us you are a winner in our eyes. Have the fees paid for next season is jsut a little extra thank you to those who give thier time, patience and energy in to our little club" - Chairman Stephen West

"These trophies are a reflection of the hardwork and passion that the Wests's bring to our club, the winners are picked because not only do they play the sport we love, but hold the club values high. This award is for everyone and we look forward to supporting those who support us, Otahuhu United" - Club Secretary Natasha West
