Who we are and what we do
Otahuhu United AFC is a family orientated, community football club based down at Seaside Park in the suburb of Otahuhu, Auckland. We provide the local community with opportuntiy to play and get fit through football
Otahuhu United was formed in 1975 by parents and junior players from the Courier Rangers Club.
The parents were unsatisfied with the way the juniors were being treated approached the Mt Wellington Council for the use of Bert Henham Park, at the Mt Richmond Domain.
The club went through the process of gaining approval from the local Association and New Zealand Football Association; this was given with the understanding that they did not field senior teams for the first three years.
In the first years the club fielded 27 junior teams and new strips were purchased in the colours of the Norwich Football Club, gold and green. Fundraising for a Club building was started and four years later an old building was purchased and transported to Bert Henham Park.
Forty eight years later the Club can now be found at Seaside Park, on the corner of Brady Road & Princess Street East. Our club is run by voluteeners who meet regularly each month.
Currently we have a number of junior teams and senior teams representing the club in both womens and men's divisions.
