Ōtāhuhu United AFC Activation Day

On behalf of our club, we want to extend a massive thank you to our entire football community for turning up today and showing incredible support for today's epic event. We hosted big giants in our footballing world (new post) and you all showed up today!Your presence truly showcased the strength and spirit of our little club and the South Auckland Junior Cluster. It’s events like these that remind us how special our football family is, and we couldn’t be more proud to have you all as part of it. Thank you for making today such a memorable success !Thank you, Stephen, Junior, Jen, Alex, and our U14 Warriors players, as well as Matt and our U10s Cheetahs team. A big mihi goes out to Kevin and South Auckland Rangers (great seeing the sea of orange too), as well as Maia and Manukau City

Our future generation is where it's at

Our club is tucked away in Ōtāhuhu down at Seaside Park and offers stunning views of the Tāmaki estuary. We are home to less than 200 members (this year) and have only operated during our winter league each year.So it was an absolute honour to host big names in our football world yesterday New Zealand Footballs President, Dr Johanna Wood, General maanager of the WWC Legacy & Special Projects, Paula Hansen and the Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Hussain Hanif. We were also honoured to host the Secretary General of the Dutch Football Federation KNVB, Gijs De Jong, as well as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to NZ and Pacific, Ard van der Vorst and Maartje Thorns (Head of Internal Affairs Consulate, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands New Zealand.

To our newly made friends, Thank you for experiencing what we have to offer to our community and also witnessing our South Auckland Junior Cluster and U10s Cheetahs and South Auckland Rangers U10s in action !

And also for our local board member, Christine O'Brien to be part of our day .

Also a bigger mihi goes out to our caterers Hello Stranger for all the delicious spread you put on for us and our manuhiri (guests). Your service was Stella and kai was delicious !Another huge milestone to add to our books !Thank you all Ngā mihi,Ōtāhuhu United AFC
