Seaside Park Walkway

A family-friendly walk around Seaside Park in Ōtāhuhu. This short loop walk is suitable for people of all ages and abilities, even if you're just getting started with getting active.

Start at the main car park and follow the path around the edge of the coast. The walk takes you around the sport fields, through the bush and back to the main car park.

Kids will make a beeline for the playground which features a climbing web, bumpy slide and swing set.

The flat path around the park is mostly gravel, so you don't need to worry about getting muddy in winter. You could even walk it with just jandals on.

You'll discover great views of the estuary, Highbrook and Maungarei (Mt Wellington). The tall palm trees and fresh sea breeze give the park an almost tropical feel. Seaside Park lives up to its name!

The foreshore area is an off-leash dog exercise area.

There are picnic tables overlooking the water where you can relax and enjoy the view. Public toilets are available in the park. The walk will take around 20mins to complete.
