The Inaugural Maurice Scott Memorial Trophy

Our Men's 2022 season kicked of with a preseason game against Pukekohe's First team, playing for the Maurice Scott Memorial Trophy. 

The trophy was donated on behalf of the family of Maurice Scott. Maurice was a avid rugby supporter however always watch Aiden, his step gransdson play football. in 2019, Aiden played for Pukekohe against Otahuhu however Maurice could not be reached to come and watch. Later that night when visiting Maurice's home, Maurice was found to have passed away. Once the news had reached the Pukekohe team, they rallied behind Aiden to give hime the support through that difficult time. 

In late 2021, the fmaily begun discussions with Pukekohe about donating a trophy and who best to play. Otahuhu Utd was selected and on the 19th March 2022 - the first Maurice Scott Memorial was played

An own goal settled a tight and even contest , Otahuhu taking the spoils. The Maurice Scott Memorial Trophy will remain with Otahuhu until the end of the season when the team play again, it will be put on display in the Otahuhu club rooms when the refurbishment has been completed. Until then, we wish Pukekohe all best in thier upcoming season and thank them for the wonderful hospitality
